| Yes I´m leaving NEXT Tuesday morning. Three days in London with my loverly, and meet some friends. I'll be in Phnom Penh after one week. I´ll be a sleep in Phnom Penh after one week.
I have a new blog now! I thought it was better since I´m traveling alone now. No Sigrún. The New blog is:

It will be mostly in Icelandic, I´m sure I´ll drop a few lines in english too.

ten days... hopefully. I´m still waiting on my passport. Something/one screwed up my special extra fast and super expensive delivery to the Cambodian Embassy in London. The exact same thing happened last time when Sigrún and I went on that big trip of ours.
I quit my job today. It´s the end of an era. More than 6 years on again off again working in that bookshop. 4 or 5 different owners. More than a 100 co-workers. One robbery. Thousands of customers. Millions of books and pencils. It feels strange yet liberating. Well off to celebrate the big change!

| Merry Christams and a Happy New Year! My departure date is getting close, I´ll be in Cambodia in less than a month. Everything is set and ready for departure. I have a half furnished, newly renovated, stunning apartment with fantastic views. The children waiting for me. Many moneys to spend. Airplane ticket with Singapore Airlines. All I need now is to retrive my passport with a Business VISA from England, and to find my backpack and start packing and hopefully get sponsors and maybe a writing job with one of the news-papers here in Iceland. So here is the plan for next year, but it is very flexible. 22.jan - 25.jan: London 26.jan-?(about 4 months or more?) : Cambodia June-?: travel to: Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam?. Laos?, and Indonesia. Anywhere else? Homecoming: I have no idea. I can´t wait! It´s all so exciting. But still work is keeping me on the ground. If it wasn´t for this job at the bookshop I would be daydreaming looking a pcitures from the last trip and floating somewhere on a pink cloud. Take care, and don´t party too hard on New years eve. I wish Sigrún and I could have gone to Goa or Shianouk, but one can´t do everything one wants. Erna | | |
| Hello,
I'm in Orlando, Florida. It was raining this morning so we hit the shops really early, at 10 am. It's nice being on holiday, not having to do anything but sunbathe, swim in the pool and go shopping or to Downtown Disney. I just don't want it to end, in a little more than a week I have to go back to work.
Well, must go.. My Visa card is getting cold. And me too due to high AirCon.

| Hi everyone,
Yes it is true. I, Erna, am going back to Cambodia. Mr. Lee at the Lighthouse Orphanage (LHO) in Phnom Penh said he would be happy to have me as a volunteer.
Still there is some planning needed, like getting the VISA and a flight to Cambodia and finding a place to stay, but I am going. It is so exciting. For me at least, mother doesn´t find it so exciting, since I will try not to come back to Iceland for 18 months. I´m not going to volunteer for 18 months though, I hope to get a scholarship to Indonesia as well.
I will go in January, I´m not allowed to quit my job sooner.

jú það er satt, ég Erna ætla að fara aftur út til Kambódíu. Mr. Lee á Lighthouse munaðarleysingjaheimilinu í Phnom Penh sagðist glaður vilja fá mig sem sjálfboðaliða.
Ég er hreinlega of spennt. Það er ennþá fullt sem þarf að gera, fá viðskipta VISA til Kambó, kaupa flug og finna íbúð eða einhvern stað til að búa á. Það eru ekki allir eins spenntir og ég. Mömmu finnst það ekki alla vega, líklega af því að ég ætla að reyna að koma ekki heim í 18 mánuði. Ég verð ekki sjálfboðaliði svo lengi. Ég er að vonast eftir að fá skólstyrk til Indónesíu.
Ég fer í janúar, mér er ekki leyft að hætta í bókabúðinni fyrr.
